We liked the Cool location and good Electro music. Go into the hotel, straight ahead and through the glass door back outside: there you will see the stairs to the Shelter. The club is very new. Although the dancing area is pretty small compared to the room where it is located, the sound is great. It was not too crowded when we went there on a Saturday. Source: https://www.tripadvisor.com

Great place for a techno/trance/house style of discoing. Its big its wide it has a lot of place to fit everyone there, has a locker room, the staff were friendly towards me and my friends, we stayed approx. 5 or 6 hours, overall it was a great experience Source: https://www.tripadvisor.com

One of the best clubs in AmsterdamLast weekend I want to Shelter with my wife and a friend for the second time and it's becoming my favorite place to go out clubbing. There are three parts of the club: main floor, lounge are and smoking room. The club itself is not big on decoration, but it's fairly clean and has really good air flow, so every time when we go home we're not reeking. DJ's are really good, and the fog machine and lasers are cool also. The main thing I like is that whenever I want, I can go to lounge part and just chill, without music and crowd, so I can rest for a while. This way we can stay until the end.

Great PA (Funktion One)! The club is overall pretty dark which suits the techno theme very well. Dancefloor lights could be improved upon but what counts is the music. Bar is on the expensive side for Netherlands Source: www.google.com

Inclusive spirit of house is lacking here. A dull atmosphere. Be aware that there is a travel hostel directly beside. Didn’t seem like there were many locals- seemed like people were mostly trying to party, talk, and find someone to go home with rather than dance. Music however was really great, but you’re not missing much with many other great clubs around.

Really underground place, nice for techno shows, with a nice soudsystem (even if it's not really loud) and a sweaty-misty-dark room. The staff is nice and the bar is not really expensive, a must-go for a real clubber Source: www.google.com

3,75 euro for a small little beer is expensive indeed !Some events are good, some other are so/so.
Security is very discreet and gentle, and this is a big pro.
The lounge is very cosy, to relax a bit and have conversation, but it could be fitted even better, I think.

I was in there once and was positively surprised by the experience.I really liked the music, which honestly was also a key factor for me to go there, but that might be different for other DJs and depends on taste.
The loudspeakers there are amazing and I liked the bass trembling on my clothes.
The ambience was also nice and fit the music, although it's too unfinished for my taste.
The beers were definetly affordable, don't know about the other drinks though, and it was a shame that earplugs cost 4€.
All in all my friends and me are glad that we were let in by the doormen and we spent a good night there, would go again.
