U4

This disco and club has been famous for decades and has been refurbished a few years ago. Still it is full of students and teenagers on a Tuesday night and on weekends and there are huge queues waiting to be let it. During the week they also have other events, but the themed club nights are definitely the best.

Worst experience. We wanted to go on a Tuesday night,  the website listed it as a student night. Since we were visiting from USA we wanted to make sure we could attend. Messaged the Facebook group and they stated "Everybody is welcome". We thought ok, lets check this place out. Get there and the bouncer takes one look at us and says "do you have a member card? Members only" I said no we don't and showed him the message sent by their group. He then has the audacity to say "I don't know who that is. You can't get in" THIS MESSAGE WAS FROM THEIR OWN GROUP! then we went to the booth next to the entrance which was initially consulting people. The lady there was super nice, apologized, told us all we have to do is pay 10 euros at the inside kiosk to get in. She even offered us a free welcome shot. Okay fine. Got back in line. Come up to the same bouncer, he give us this look of disgust. We tell him that the lady at the desk said we just need to pay 10 euros to get in. He goes "who?" I point to the woman sitting at the desk sitting literally 10 feet away and he says "I DON'T KNOW WHO THAT IS" WHAT THE HELL?? SHE WORKS FOR THE CLUB!!! As if we didn't get it by that point he says "you can't get in" and waves for us to move away. I'm furious. The lady at that  point had nothing to say for herself. THIS PLACE IS RUN BY RACIST BOUNCERS. We observed the situation a bit from the side and there were a number of individuals WHO WERE LOCALS who got sent away because they were not WHITE. SCREW THIS PLACE. DO NOT GO. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. If you're white and looking for a place to party Tuesday night go ahead, if you're any other race find another place to go. Such a shame. I've been having such a great experience with friendly ppl in Vienna and this racist a**hole just had to ruin it.

It is a nightclub with rock and alternative music selection as far as I could ascertain. There was an entrance fee of €10 which I found slightly too much for what it has to offer in comparison to the other nightlife venues in Vienna. It targets to quite a narrow audience with the style; as a former rock/metal fan I would have enjoyed visiting here a couple of years ago. But if you are not into these styles it might be not so interesting.

We found this club by chance as it was close to our hotel. The entrance fee is 10€ which isn't cheap at all. Inside it was like a really bad joke. There were 2 rooms, one is smoking free and one is not. The oldest person in the club was 22, everybody looked perilously under age. The decor and design of the rooms were so shameful and cheap, and it felt like a grade 10 event in a school. The music was painful to the ears, you don't know where they even got it from, and all German techno/awkward music. It was truly terrible. You won't have fun there if you're over 25 and have a bit of standards. Otherwise, be my guest. I warned you.

We were in Vienna for one night and were told that this was the best club in Vienna. I hope this was a mistake, there was only one room open with about 30 guys and 4 girls the atmosphere was awful and the drinks were expensive

Try one of the great Cocktails at the Happy Hour till midnight - all cocktails just 5.-! My favourite is Mai Tai! Smoking is only allowed at the smaller floor.

Shit club! I’ve been there 3 times and every time it was bad. Bad music, bad inside, asi people. Not recommended

I  must confess that I was not completely sober when I arrived at 'U4', although even in my inebriated state I noticed the sheer grime of this club.

With a music selection featuring songs not heard since 2010 and dancefloor behaviour to be expected in an underground Kosovian nightclub, it was a rather bizarre experience.

With highlights including having half a bottle of beer projectile spat on me, being shoved by a fellow who looked like a Chechnyan militant, and playing the age old yet ever fun game of 'is she 18?', I must confess that myself and my friends had a good time.

If you're a young person with few standards and tattered dignity, I would strongly recommend 'U4'.

Have both a smoking and very strict non smoking area. Bouncers can be somewhat aggressive towards men at times. Always has something going on no matter the day. The probably cleanest club bathrooms in all of Vienna. Prices are about average for a night club in Vienna & really conveniently located right next to the U4 (as the name suggests)

Still one of the best nightclubs in town to have a great night out with friends. The club has a history by now, because even Falco and other personalities have been part of it.
Prices are absolutely fine, if you look in the Facebook events you will often find even a way to get cheaper entry.
There is beer and also a cocktail happy hour.
I have had many fun nights there and can absolutely recommend the nightclub.

We are Angela and Chiara from Italy. A friend of us experienced in U4 disco something very sad.
We had been waiting for him in the disco, because he was still working in “his” Restaurant in Vienna.
At the entrance of U4 disco he couldn’t come in just because he has a Palestinians passport.
We don’t agree with what happened. We believe that in 2017 is not acceptable that someone who only wants to have fun with his friends can’t do it because of racial discrimination.

Girls, if you’re thinking about going to this club, run. The best thing about the club was to wait outside for 2 hours in order to get in, because once you do, you wish you went somewhere else. The amount of alone and creepy guys was astonishing. If you like never feeling safe for second then you’ll love it ! All those men are roaming inside trying to touch girls, giving crazy looks and offering drinks even though they could be your father. A lot of reviews are saying that this club is mostly young people and is a trendy one, well this is not the case anymore apparently.

The music was okay although some songs I wouldn't really classify as dance songs. I also ordered a cocktail, didn't like it that much, but maybe it was just that one that turned out this way, I didn't order any others after that. Everyone's experience is different.

A lot of fun, especially on saturdays. Also a very good place for tourists to go clubbing, since the personal is very friendly!! Drinks are not that cheap, but if you come by before 24.00 you just have to pay half the price of the drinks. Attendance varies, most people are in their early 20s, but there are also late teens. To sum up, all of the times it was a lot of fun!!
