This is well worth a visit in Sodermalm - popular with 20/30 somethings but all ages welcome, Bar menu, good coffee, full bar and restaurant menu. Dine outside too and very friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Close to nightlife.

This place is noisy, young and dynamic. We preferred to sit in the quieter part, which was possible. The headwaiter was very allert and seated us quickly the waiter that we then were given was a different ballgame. Say no more, but she needed to relax a bit. The energy was too tense. And as a tip to the restaurant.. (its about its customers.. and not about the restaurant itself.) We thought the food was good and hearty, but a little on the expensive side. Its a young place which is great, but we will not spend our money there again.

This is my favorite bar in Stockholm, I don't understand why people give 3 out of 5?!

First of all, the interior design MAKES the whole bar. It is just really nice. The pictures on the walls mixed with cozy sofas and good bar stools makes it a really good place.

It does get a little crowded so often you cannot get a seat, which is annoying. Also, the noise level is a little to high for a bar, I think. You cannot talk and it is not supposed to be dancing there so you kind of have to scream to each other. However, the drinks are really good (drank both non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks here).

I would recommend this place to anyone! Go here!

The trendy Morfar Ginko and Papa Ray Ray are two linked bars/restaurants. Sort of gothic and very cozy places with good drinks and food. It often fills up fast and the restaurant sometimes seems to be a little short on staff, but the waitors do their best - everytime I've been there they've been very nice and helpful despite of having lots to do. However, I do recomend the bar as it's a little more fun and less hectic. They have a ping-pong table :)

Morfar Ginko & Pappa Ray Ray has now been around for a while and still keeps going strong. Part of the place is a cava bar where one can also have some pinxtos to go with that. The selection of beer is decent at best but the place has a nice atmosphere so it is great to just hang out there for a drink or two. On Monday's and Tuesday's one can also play some table tennis while drinking.

The menu (for food) is pretty limited but what they have on offer is often pretty good although perhaps a bit on the expensive side for being such simple food (like cheeseburgers etc.)

like this bar. It's easy and nice. They have activities like music quiz and a small dance floor down below.

Summers are nice as you can sit outside here. I've noticed that the service can at times be slow. Drink prices are average but never eaten here.

Went here with my partner and had an absolutely amazing meal. I had the daily special which was the best pork dish I can remember having and my partner had the mussels which she said were perfect. The cocktails were also crafted to perfection and the staff were all very polite and friendly. Can't wait to go back here again.

The pizza was ok, nothing special. Seemed to be lacking a bit of love. The service was friendly but really unreliable and they kept forgetting our table.
All in all: nice if you’re hungry but not really extraordinary.

Nice atmosphere, but the drinks were either really weak, tasted watered down or the sodas (for gin and soda) not carbonated. Really not worth the price.
The staff were a bit distracted and not very friendly.

Stopped by for a pizza, which was pretty average, but nonetheless carried a 180kr price tag. Exorbitant even for Stockholm standards. I must say, however, that during my meal, I was served by an attentive, courteous waitress. This was the highlight of my experience.
After my meal, however, I decided to have a drink at the bar area; unfortunately, there the service was detached and disinterested. One of the waitering staff had her back turned towards the bar,  showing complete neglect to those waiting to get a drink. I was clearly waiting to order, but it felt like there was little interest in showing any degree of helpfulness.
I often disapprove of writing about places via google reviews. I do, however, feel the need to alert those visiting Stockholm to avoid this place, at least if you would like to get a drink. One has plenty of choices in the area; don’t waste time and money in a bar too cool to care for costumer service.

Description

One of Stockholm‘s most popular late night hangouts, Morfar Ginko features top DJs spinning from a loft above the main room and while dancing is definitely on the menu, so is serious mingling and even table tennis. Come summer, the courtyard opens up – where you can kick back with a drink and make new friends.
