Watergate

Really good club. Sure they were vetting people for entrance, it’s not a huge club so I guess they want to make sure they the right people inside.

We got there about 12 ish and we’re the first few people through the door once the initial queue had cleared.

The staff were really friendly and security was pretty low key but you knew it was there. Coming from the uk, it’s still weird to see people smoking inside.

Drinks were not expensive and there was a really good atmosphere. At 2 the second floor opens which, like the basement has glass walls overlooking the river and fridge which are stunning. Probably the best views from any club I’ve been to.

With Berghain being closed and only spending a few days in Berlin, nightlife had to be done to complete an expansive 48 hours of art and culture. Lucky for us, Watergate was a five minute walk from our hotel and the perfect compromise.

They're open from midnight to 10am (on a Tuesday), and wow--these people know how to party. My group and I got there around 1am and were easily the first guests in attendance. The dance floor didn't start filling up until 4:00am, and my guess is that patrons really did party until closing time, well after most corporate employees have been in their offices for two hours. It's wild.

Watergate is right on the water, and it's nice to be able to escape the club for an outdoor hang on the patio that abuts the riverbank. Obviously this is a feature that works in the summer, not so much when winter sets in.

Overall, a very fun way to break my own social norms and experience life the way Berliners do.

This place was fun. I enjoyed the location, right on the water with a beautiful view. This is very close to the East Side Gallery and not far from Kreuzberg which are two fun areas to hang out in. There is a cover, $15 must be paid in cash. They usually play house/techno which I'm not a big fan of because it sounds like the music never ends. The mixed drinks are about 8€ each while beer and wine is slightly less. They have plenty of individual bathrooms so you don't have to wait in long lines.

Fantastic Club ! Agree totally with the door policy ... great mix of people inside the club. The door staff do a great job. Myself and my mate both from Ireland had two amazing nights there last weekend. Already planning a return trip ! Keep up the good work

Waited 30 minutes in line up. At the entrace was asked if I speak English or German. Said I speak English. Then was asked if I know any DJs playing tonight. I said - no. Then got instantly refused. Was completely sober and well dressed. What kind of club is that?

Meh
There's so many better places to go than Watergate. Admissions normally more than the better clubs too... The Musics good, but the bar is also pricey. Not somewhere i'd personally recommend.

Good music
It was €15 entry, no photography or you were kicked out, the bar staff got our drinks wrong both times, the place is full of smoke and people smoking which got very sore on the eyes for a known smoker, the toilet facilities weren’t the best either. The only upside was that the music was good, but I would not pay €15 to go back

Good fun
Good atmosphere, good music, good people. The club opened at midnight and was €15 entry, drinks slightly pricey (€9 for spirit/mixer). Not a fan of indoor smoking in such a small confined space, and not able to take and photos or videos inside.

I think a lot of reviews get left if people don’t get in and they’re annoyed. ..... I’m sure that most of the people who go and enjoy it don’t bother to leave reviews! Well I had a brilliant brilliant time. Great music (collaboration with Snowbombing festival) and great location. Would definitely go back.

Fantastic club! Absolutely love the atmosphere and music. Yes, they're selective on the door - but that's reflected with the good crowd inside! Great door staff in my experience, can't wait to go back again!

The music is fine, but the first thing you see after the wardrobe is a big b/w print of a nude woman with spread legs next to the bar, which already suggests the vibe... People go here to find someone which is not quite what a good techno club in Berlin would be for. Drink prices are fine with a huge glass of wine for 5€

Great place, great music! The atmosphere is just right and the main floor's lighting is beautiful!

The staff is usually friendly! I had mixed interactions but mainly good ones. They also offered tap water when asked!
I recommend this place!

Don't forget to check the DJs before you go cause you may or may not like the music.
I prefer the main floor but there are 2 floors plus a place to smoke and relax outside in the river. It's wonderful especially in the morning hours. I've got to meet several people out there relaxing, drinking, smoking or just chatting.

Don't get disappointed if you get rejected from the bouncers, you can always try again later or the next days cause it's worth it to go inside :)

As a producer. The sound system is one of the best in Berlin. The staff, security and bartenders are kind and lovely.
The vibe inside is extremely great, an unforgettable experience until the sunrise.
I loved the view and the service.
In case of any emergency, I saw it in front of my eyes, the staff jumps to action directly, they are well trained for those things (overdose etc...) unfortunately, some people drink/consume irresponsibility "everywhere"... And you need the right service for this.

Went to a klubnacht fridaynight. Line was about half an hour. I had the idea that almost everyone got in, the staf was very friendly at the door.
Inside was a great atmosphere. Lots of tourists but the crowd went nuts. Great soundsystem but music was a bit mellow.

Went on Saturday the 13th of oct we arrived around 12 and the cue wasn't long backing up it moved down quickly though. The bouncers checked our details and covid vaccination status and we got waved on in. The atmosphere was amazing everyone just out for a good time as soon I walked in we started mixing in with other groups at the bar the.  The djs kept the crowd going until we left at 7 but it was still pumping inside.
Would highly recommend and will definitely be back
Also if u want good food before going in try the food stall outside its called cheesys the food was very good and the guys that work there are brilliant.

This club shines with its location and the vibe its getting from it. Its located directly at the river near the Oberbaum Bridge and even has a floating outdoor deck in the summer.
Seeing the sun rise in the morning after a night of clubbing is one of the most beautiful things ever. And everything around also meets great standards. The soundsystem is top notch (db audio), the lighting is fantastic and the staff is friendly. If your 21+ and you know who is playing you shouldnt have a hard time entering unlike other places in berlin. Also the line-ups are great so its worth to see who is on the decks.
Prices are a bit hight but considering what you are getting I am okay with that.
Definitly recommend clubbing here - but stay till the sunrise, otherwise you will miss the best part.
