Sundays (and Sunday nights) at bla are a must in Oslo!
Whoever spends time in Oslo and is interested in art and live music definitely needs to go to bla on Sundays. Amazing live music provided by a big band who always play on Sundays, free entrance and an amazing atmosphere nearby the river guarantees an amazing afternoon and/or night out. Also, Bla is a meeting point of people all around the world. I lived for some time in Oslo and Bla was our regular spot and a good place to meet new people. So if you plan your trip to Oslo, make sure that you schedule Sunday afternoon/night for Bla!

Great way to spend a Sunday arfternoon
We went to Blaa on a Sunday afternoon, there was a market set up outside with lots of things from food to jewellery and homewares, and much more. The band that played outside (I think they play every Sunday) was fantastic. There wasn't a spare seat, with lots of people standing as well, the atmosphere was great! There is also lots of cool street art nearby and Mathallen isn't far away to grab a late lunch. I would definitely go again if I visit Oslo in the future

Sunday afternoons with music on the river and vendors
This is a quick jaunt from Mathallen market if you're touring it up. On Sundays this alley with graffiti art had vendors selling wares (jewelry, art) that led to a peaceful river. There are multiple venues here, but bla has a good vibe (outdoor space right on the water) and had a band playing. The World Cup was also going, so part of the crowd was watching that. It's unique and enjoyable-would recommend as a Sunday stop on a nice day.

Out to have a beer and hear music with friends.
I have been here twice and both times were good. Band was the same as when I went last year, on Sunday night. Talented and full of energy, they do an excellent job entertaining the crowd. Excellent!!!
We sat outside as it was a bit cooler. The recent warm days were relaxed by the cool rain.
Beer was a bit pricey but what isn't in a club.
If you want to go see a band and have a beer or two, especially late, go here.

Best off the beaten path place!
Bla is such a unique cultural area of Oslo! I try to find markets everywhere I travel, and the Sunday market at Bla is by far the most interesting one I've visited - not because of the items for sale, but the environment. Tucked away in a little alley and full of beautiful graffiti art (like much of Bla), it was a unique experience. I can imagine that this place may soon evolve into more a tourist area, so visit before that happens! The nearby Mahatten Food Hall, it was a great way to spend an afternoon.

Super fun atmosphere, perfect to grab a drink with friends, and free (something free! in Norway! unreal!) concerts on Sunday evening from a really cool band. Would love to come back!

Very small market but very cool. In total there are probably about 10 stalls, most selling jewelry or clothes. There are also a few spots where you can sit down and get something to drink. I hope they try to encourage more artists to sell there work here, it would be more worthwhile if there was a greater variety of goods for sale. We loved the graffiti in the area though. It feels like you are in Berlin. It’s a bit like a tiny Mauerpark.
