Eh. Its grand if you're into clubs and that. I like it but in saying that I also don't much care for it like. Still good spot if you're looking for the four deep bar experience

Great spot. Have come there for event - Burlesque performances- Women in Horror, great premises and stage for performances. Not impressed with bar prices thought, but believe 5,8 and 6,5 for cider is a normal accross temple bar?

Great place to see up and coming bands. The Sound Engineer/s and system are excellent. Good and friendly bar staff add to the overall experience. Great atmosphere at the gigs especially the last one I was at promoted by Giganometry. I'm surprised to see some negative reviews as I didn't see or experience anything untoward. There are are maybe nights when it's a DJ and not live music that attracts a different crowd.

I cannot comment on the club standards inside as I was denied entry. However what I can comment on is their staff attitude.

I was recommend this club for Sunday evening as they had karaoke and 90s music. This was completely up my street and I thought this would be the perfect way to end my hen.

Prior to coming to the club we visited Temple bar for a couple of drinks. No one in our group was drunk and we even had one girl not drinking. So there was no poor or offensive behaviour.

We were all dressed smart-casual with vests that stated we were a hen.

On arrival I was met with 'not tonight girls' from the bouncer. I rightly asked for their reasoning and they replied 'because it's my right to do so'. I explained it was also my right to be given the grounds of refusal. This was refused, so I asked to speak with a manager.

A woman arrived who I can only presume was a manager as she refused to give her name and wore no ID.

The grounds of refusal were we a hen and they did not permit stags / hens / 21st. I stated this was not on their site and I wanted to see their policy. She stated she didn't have anything written down.

I explained to her that we were a fairly quite hen only looking to sing and dance, we would cause no trouble. She stated it was because of our tops said the word hen. I asked if they said 30th birthday would we get in or if I changed to a plain top would we get in? She answered yes to both. I suggested we could easily pop our tops inside out. This is when it became a bit personal.

She said should wouldn't let us in because she did not like my friends attitude. I asked her to explain this as she had only challenged the bouncers like I had. She said she just didn't like her but liked the way I challenged her. What does this even mean?

At this point we left and the bouncers laughed.

I would like to state after their attitude we had no interest in enter their club. I challenged the club because I do not like unfairness.

We went onto have a great night in bars close by. We got in no bother to anywhere else. I had spoke to a couple of people who worked in the bar who said we had a good escape as the club had a poor reputation for staff behaviour, poor quality of punters and there is often trouble.

Good environment, quirky design, nice outdoor area, good service good drinks. I have seen a couple of bands here, the Brad Pitt Light Orchestra being one, and it is a good music venue. The prices are Temple Bar prices. If I have friends from out of town who are into the kind of vibe this place offers then this is where we go as it is the best of its kind.

There is nothing really special to push it for the fifth star.

You can definitely let your freak flag fly here! We were referred to this location on a Sunday night after everything had already closed. We got $5 pints of beer and hung out while listening to 80s music. People here aren't afraid to dance and there really is a diverse crowd of mixed races, gay people, straight people, people on drugs, drunk people, and people just there for music. My friend and I really enjoyed the laid back vibe and the music, it is a judgement free zone and you can dance however you like! Great place to cut loose!

This is a great spot to start the night in Dublin. It's less touristy as it's just outside the Temple Bar area, but it's close enough if this is where you plan on heading later. The drinks are reasonably priced, and they sell Guinness on tap! When I first headed up the stairs and came out into the main room where the bar is I was a bit skeptical because it was so dark, but this actually made for a great atmosphere. They have a lot of live music events on too which are worth checking out.

It is a multi-story bar/lounge in Temple Bar area. This is converted from an old house and the original structure of the rooms is still there. The downstairs is quite chill with a lounge and a dance room. As you go upstairs, it started to get very hot and the density of people increased dramatically. There are a few rooms there and an outdoor area with heat lamps. Overall, it is an OK place.

Rude staff and terrible music
The bouncers here have a bad manner and seem to get a power trip out of blocking people from coming in without ever giving a reason. The staff are never friendly, there's a girl with dyed hair who's especially snappy. The music is generally dreadful, I remember they use to have bands and it was really fun. Seems to have become a bar mostly popular with young tourists. They do greasy chips which are pretty nice.

Cool club.
A cool place with good tunes, the building could use a little dust but other than this it is a fun place to be with friends! Not too expensive for Dublin I would say pints are 5-6 euros each..I have been here twice now.

Rubbed shoulders with many interesting people in the smoking area. Well I assume they were interesting, we didn’t talk, just forced to squeeze past each other constantly to get anywhere. They dressed like they were interesting though, amber leaf legends in the land of old school new wave

Came here on holiday, staff were great. No idea where the negative reviews are coming from. Come in, grab a drink, chill on the main floor, smoke upstairs, or thrash in the cellar. Place is great, prices are decent, food is on point.
My favourite hangout when I'm in Dublin

Great spot even on sunday night, had some great time with few of coworkers after some busy days. Drink wise good range of offers and even reasonable prices for drinks. Many of security guards watching on your safety and also remarkable floor staff cleaning broken glasses and spillage all around until you have fun. Great bar service with a smile on their faces.

Never been to a bar/dance club. Music was too loud but I am still giving 5 stars because we went there on the last day of our graduation. So it was great. Place is well maintained I would say. My old ears kept humming for 2 days after 4 hours in this place.

Description

Looking for a playlist packed with Rihanna or One Direction? The Workman's Club can't help you here, but they sure as hell can sort you out if you're looking to dance to all your favourite indie classics. There's plenty of rock, hip-hop, retro guilty pleasures and disco hits thrown into the mix too, just for good measure. One of our favourite places to dance in Dublin, The Workman's Club goes in with DJ sets until 3am, every day of the week.
