I cannot comment on the club standards inside as I was denied entry. However what I can comment on is their staff attitude.
I was recommend this club for Sunday evening as they had karaoke and 90s music. This was completely up my street and I thought this would be the perfect way to end my hen.
Prior to coming to the club we visited Temple bar for a couple of drinks. No one in our group was drunk and we even had one girl not drinking. So there was no poor or offensive behaviour.
We were all dressed smart-casual with vests that stated we were a hen.
On arrival I was met with 'not tonight girls' from the bouncer. I rightly asked for their reasoning and they replied 'because it's my right to do so'. I explained it was also my right to be given the grounds of refusal. This was refused, so I asked to speak with a manager.
A woman arrived who I can only presume was a manager as she refused to give her name and wore no ID.
The grounds of refusal were we a hen and they did not permit stags / hens / 21st. I stated this was not on their site and I wanted to see their policy. She stated she didn't have anything written down.
I explained to her that we were a fairly quite hen only looking to sing and dance, we would cause no trouble. She stated it was because of our tops said the word hen. I asked if they said 30th birthday would we get in or if I changed to a plain top would we get in? She answered yes to both. I suggested we could easily pop our tops inside out. This is when it became a bit personal.
She said should wouldn't let us in because she did not like my friends attitude. I asked her to explain this as she had only challenged the bouncers like I had. She said she just didn't like her but liked the way I challenged her. What does this even mean?
At this point we left and the bouncers laughed.
I would like to state after their attitude we had no interest in enter their club. I challenged the club because I do not like unfairness.
We went onto have a great night in bars close by. We got in no bother to anywhere else. I had spoke to a couple of people who worked in the bar who said we had a good escape as the club had a poor reputation for staff behaviour, poor quality of punters and there is often trouble.
