Prins Albert Club

A grand place but has suffered the effects of neglect and underfinancing. It's a hidden treasure with a wonderfull location that has however seen better days. I just hope they don't try to close it down alltogether as it represents one of the last remnants of the grand old tradition of an officer's club so would be sorely missed if gone.

Weak on all fronts. Not enough food, forgotten pomme duchesse on the plate, rotten fruit in dessert to compensate, cooked steak, staff not spontaneous and not friendly.. why leave such a beautiful club of defense to a private institutional kitchen. Our experience on 20/12/2021 was dramatic, shame about our money, apparently the chef was absent

Pleasant place to dine quietly, in a group, in a historic setting. It is of course a plus if you have some affinity with military life and/or you are open to the military framework. It's not a must, of course. The service is smooth and friendly. The food is of excellent quality, the wine cellar offers a good variety. Reservation is recommended.

I call this the best secured restaurant in Belgium. Is a private club of the officers. You can only enter here by invitation and guidance from an officer. The restaurant is reminiscent of past glory but was very good both qualitatively and dirt cheap. 25 euros for the tasting menu. Highly recommended if you know an officer
