We had a great evening at Moune's for a friend's birthday. The atmosphere is muffled and there is a warm welcome. The price of drinks is very affordable for the district of Pigalle. You can go there with your eyes closed if you want to dance until the early morning. I recommend!

Got here at around 12:50 on a Friday night because we read about lines and it was completely empty except for some people who came in and quickly out after seeing how dead it was. Around 1:40 people started filtering in and people started dancing. The music was really really good if you like electro and we danced a lot. Your first drink is basically your cover so it’s pretty cheap but after that the drinks are pretty expensive from an American point of view and our first drink was not that strong. All in all we’d come back if that DJ was playing.

I am surprised by the reviews posted on the bouncers. I personally find all the staff super nice, including the bouncers when we are polite with them. The manager is super cool, the barmaid / man also, the sound system is not excellent but the music is often pointed electro level after midnight (it depends on the dj too, a little more disappointed during my 2nd coming :)).
Otherwise, the customers are super cool, I only had good meetings in 2 evenings down. Perfect for parties when you have nothing planned and want to listen to good music dancing :)

the parisien homie known as acid washed invited me to this slick little underground former cabaret in the pigalle.

the downstairs feels like it took inspiration from YSL's private party chamber around 1982: mirrors, glimmery flecked panels and an angular bar.

if you can pry yourself away from the hostess bars and there's a good night happening, it is quite the scene.

problèmes d'amour spoken here!

Pretty bad place.
Let's start. Bouncers where really rude from the beginning. I was alone (my friends where already inside) and i talked to them in english (my mistake). No way to get in. As soon as i started with my little french they where more friendly and finally let me in. That's the one star, otherwise it would be zero.
Inside it's crapy, stinky (there weren't many people) and filthy.
Totally overpriced. Tapped small beer 5 € (wasn't possible to get one), 10 € for a 33cl bottle of Heineken and 15 € for a really bad, tasteless cocktail. This are prices you'll find in top places in Paris.
As it's in a basement they don't have reception. You don't have to make calls in a club, but because of this sometimes their credit card reader doesn't work. So just cash!!
Finally the music.
I didn't like it, but that's just personal taste and doesn't affect my judgment over this place.
If you want go for it, but there are some really better places in Paris.

Created in 1936, this cabaret is a veritable institution in the world of Parisian nightlife. Originally a female cabaret, which Edithe Piaf would have frequented, this nightclub has evolved over the years. This establishment is temporarily closed.

A great atmosphere! A very pleasant staff! And still great sound!
All in all a perfect place to celebrate!
Can't wait for the reopening

I didn't visit, but it's a historic place for women, being the first cabaret for women only, which was unthinkable for the time and in fact, until today. It is worth checking. For those who like guitars, the region is full of stores with these instruments!

Description

Featuring low ceilings, mirrored and tiled walls, and a distinctively 1930's-style decor, Chez Moune caters to the Parisian branché (fashion-conscious hipster) crowd. DJs mainly spin trendy electro-rock tracks and beats here. Unlike the majority of Parisian nightclubs, this one is free, so expect a big queue outside filled with young 20-something's looking to stay up until dawn and through the petit matin (early morning hours).
