I consider myself a true techno lover. Fabric, Berghain, Tresor, Awakenings, Time Warp: some of the more familiar places in the techno world, where I've had the best times of my life. I read some positive thing about Goa, so when I visited Rome I thought: well, let's give it a shot. Just to be sure to get in, I even BOUGHT tickets for a 4-day festival (while I only planned to go 2 evenings).
What I experienced there has been one of the saddest moments ever. There was a huge line, except: you could barely call it a line. It was more like a funnel. Meanwhile, there was ONE other line - the "VIP" line - wherein like every minute about 5 guests could enter the club. These guests were NOT ravers. These guests could NOT tell you anything about the line up. It was a very young, 'look-how-interesting-i-am', wannabe jet set audience. They knew the aggressive bouncers and/or some vague club promoters, who then let them in. I stood in line for 3 hours - with tickets i PAID for, while the line was NOT moving at all - until I decided to leave the place. Worst experience ever. My recommendation: don't go here.
